Mooring Hardware

Each Member is responsible for the maintenance of their mooring set up. The club offers some of the hardware you might need. It is usually recommended that you examine your mooring set up at least once every three years; that means that you have the mooring anchor lifted from the bottom and brought to the bulkhead for inspection and possible repair. At the beginning of the next season the mooring anchor is put back into place. If your mooring anchor is left in place for the winter your mooring buoy and pick up buoy are taken out of the water and replaced by a a long piece of chain and a piece of wood or other floating object. Your mooring chain will rest in the mud at the bottom of the river for it's own protection, that is why a long piece of chain is used to attach the floating object. The club has a mooring committee that can complete the winterization or you can DIY. If you have any questions, please call Dave: 845-641-8966
